Continuous Assessment for Linux Agents: Near-Time Vulnerability Management Simplified
Now available in Tenable Vulnerability Management, Continuous Assessment for Linux Agents allows you to monitor and report vulnerabilities continuously, without the need for manual scans or scheduled remediation. Enabled with a simple toggle in Agent 10.8.0, this lightweight feature operates in the background to keep your vulnerability data up-to-date in near real-time, significantly reducing resource usage and time spent on re-scanning.
When activated, Continuous Assessment captures a baseline software inventory on the host and listens for changes. Vulnerability findings automatically update in Tenable Vulnerability Management within minutes of a detected change, allowing you to see and address vulnerabilities as patches and updates are applied.
This feature comes with new dashboards and reports, such as the Agent Risk Analysis dashboard and the Agent Vulnerability Report, offering real-time insights into vulnerabilities and time-to-fix metrics, making it easy to track and manage mitigation efforts in dynamic environments.
To get started, simply enable Continuous Assessment on your agent profile, specify how often a baseline scan should occur, and take advantage of continuous, actionable vulnerability data without added resource strain. For details, explore the Agent Risk Analysis Dashboard and Agent Vulnerability Report.

Can I use this new agent feature in Tenable Security Center? I have Linux Agents v. 10.8.0 installed in Linux machines.

Another very useful feature of Tenable VM-linked Nessus Agents that doesn't appear to work with Security Center and Nessus Manager. :-(
I know right. I am still waiting to hear about rule based scanning for nessus agents managed by nessus manager/SC.
