Is it just a scanner on prem? Is it the webUI/dashboards on prem? I'm sort of confused here. There's so much marketing puke (even in the data sheet) and not enough actual information on what it is compared to, I dunno, Nessus and SecurityCenter..

Tenable.io on-prem is much more than just an on-prem scanner. Fundamentally, we’ve taken the same Tenable.io code base and made it available for deployment on the customer’s hardware on-prem. It provides nearly all the same capabilities that Tenable.io cloud has, including the same UI and customer experience. All the screens you see in Tenable.io cloud, the workbenches, etc. will all be the same. In both cases (Tenable.io cloud and on-prem), you can use unlimited numbers of locally installed scanners, cloud-based scanners for external scanning, agents, and passive network monitoring. With Tenable.io on-prem, the difference is that the management and data storage capabilities are delivered in traditional software form that you deploy and manage, instead of SaaS delivered by Tenable.
There are a few differences between Tenable.io cloud and on-prem purely due to the nature of software vs. SaaS, such as speed of scaling, no SLA for uptime (since you would run the software yourself), and the PCI ASV offering is not available on-prem (because it’s a service we provide, not just software).

I did not, thank you @Matt Brown. This is certainly an awesome option and I look forward to seeing tenable.io mature.
