We're excited to share a number of important features recently released in Tenable.io:

New RBAC Roles

Tenable.io now provides two additional, preconfigured user roles for greater flexibility in controlling Tenable.io resources users can access once logged in, bridging the gap between Administrator and Standard users.

• Scan Manager: Allows a user to administer scanners and agents, as well as to configure and run scans.
• Scan Operator: Allows a user to operate scans once they are configured, prohibiting the ability to modify scans and policies.

License Information

The View License Information page provides helpful visualizations and filters for greater transparency into the licensed asset count within Tenable.io managed environments. Please note that this new capability does not provide hard license enforcement. For more information, please read View License Information in the Tenable.io User Guide.

Widget Library and Blank Canvas Dashboards

A new pre-configured widget library enables users to customize dashboards to their needs. Users can also add widgets to template dashboards as well as  a blank canvas dashboard to further refine their views. Enhancements to Tenable.io APIs

The Tenable.io API reference guide now provides information about the new filters (including tag-based filters) for assets and vulnerabilities export. Also, we developed a new Tenable.io API Best Practices Guide to help you take advantage of and best utilize Tenable.io APIs to work with your asset and vulnerability data. The REST API for Tenable.io allows you to integrate Tenable.io with other standalone or web applications by scripting interactions with the Tenable.io server.
