Patch Report Plugin Enhancement

Summary

Plugin 66334, Patch Report, lists in the scan results the newest version of each patch to install on a scan target. Users who disabled plugin 66334 in a scan policy experienced unintended issues with supersedence settings not being reflected in their scan results. 

Change

We made this enhancement so users no longer have to manually enable plugin 66334 in Advanced Scans in order to make use of the Show missing patches that have been superseded (supersedence) check-box. Prior to the change, enabling/disabling the supersedence setting would have no effect if plugin 66334 was disabled in the plugins section of your scan policy. The plugin will still be visible via the Plugins section of the Advanced scan policy, but toggling off will have no effect.

Impact

Customers should expect to see an output for plugin 66334 in all scans.
