New Report from Tenable Research: Understanding the Ransomware Ecosystem

Over the last four years, ransomware has cemented itself as the greatest threat to global organizations today. While ransomware is not new, it is a constantly evolving cyberthreat, and it is through its evolution that ransomware has managed to not only survive, but thrive.

Tenable Research has published a new report, The Ransomware Ecosystem, which demystifies the key players in the ecosystem, the various extortion tactics employed by ransomware groups as well as the common attack vectors used by the players in the ecosystem, including a list of over 70 vulnerabilities.

Scan templates for Tenable.io, Tenable.sc and Nessus Professional have been created for the vulnerabilities referenced in the report. We’re also publishing Dashboards and Reports for Tenable.sc and Tenable.io.
