Release Date: June 22, 2026 Included Applications and Versions: Service Graph Connector for Tenable: Version 6.3.0 Tenable for ITSM: Version 6.2.0 Vulnerability Response Integration with Tenable: Version 30.4.1 WHAT'S NEW? Tenable is excited to announce the General Availability for our ServiceNow apps, fully compatible with the Australia Platform Release. This rollout introduces significant feature updates, bug fixes, and stability enhancements across our core integration codebase: Configurable Asset Ingestion Limits: Resolves payload failures by collecting and deduping IP, FQDN, and MAC data on a per-asset basis before submitting to the Tenable Vulnerability Management API. It features an adjustable asset property ceiling that defaults to 100 records and can be scaled up to 1,000 for complex environments via a custom system property config. Predictive Asset Dropped Warning Logs: Adds clear localized logs inside ServiceNow that capture the impacted Configuration Item sys_id, the total volume of asset records received, and a structural breakdown of any metrics dropped when violating max limits. Codebase Security Hardening: Completely eliminates the deprecated global GlideEncrypter API call from our source codebase. This satisfies strict compliance criteria following customer instance health assessment scans that flag deprecated commands as security risks. Optimized OS Transformation Handling: Mitigates transactional script processing delays and timeout failures within the core cleanse() operation method. The updated connector parses choice items more efficiently against massive database environments with large sys_choice table counts. OT Device Schema Correction: Fixes data transformation crashes and java.lang.IllegalArgumentException errors when processing complex IT/OT hybrid nodes like workstations populated via WMI queries. The ingestion rules seamlessly process structural repetitions found within the hotFixes and devicesAndDrives sections of the API response without stalling the import set queue. PLATFORM COMPATIBILITY: Supported ServiceNow Releases: Australia, Zurich, Yokohama, and Xanadu. Supported Tenable Platforms: Tenable Vulnerability Management, Tenable Security Center version 5.7 or later, and Tenable OT Security QUESTIONS? We are here to help! Resolve an index _time race condition with Tenable Security Center Known Issues and Limitations: None Shoutout to everyone who made this release possible! – Ahmad Maruf, Tenable Ecosystem Product Management100Views0likes0CommentsBye-bye, manual exceptions! Say hello to query-based recast and a new API.
You’ve asked for more control, and now, we’ve delivered. With the launch of query-based recast, Tenable Vulnerability Management gives you the granular precision and automation tools you need to streamline exception workflows and accurately manage risk. Why you'll love this update: You set the rules precisely: You create powerful exceptions based on 14 criteria, including Asset Tags, CVEs, networks, and FQDNs. This gives you far more control than ever before. Intelligent management: We help you manage those rules without overlap. The new Rules Management page flags Related Rules, so you confidently avoid conflicting policies that waste your time. Automation is here: Stop manual work! You can now use the new Recast API to automate rule creation, modification, and deployment across your entire environment. Modern look (and dark mode!): Manage everything in a clean, intuitive Rules Management page built with our design system. (Yes, it supports dark mode. We hear you, fellow night owls.) ESXi Version Information from vCenter REST API Summary We are proud to announce to our Tenable customers our latest integration enhancement with the ability to gather ESXi host version information from the vCenter REST API. This feature is available when using the VMware vCenter integration credential and the customer's vCenter/ESXi version is 7.0.3 or higher. This feature was developed for customers with ESXi hosts that are managed by a vCenter, but are not routable by the Nessus scanner on their network. Customer’s vCenter/ESXi environments may be configured as such where the ESXi hosts are not routable by the scanner for various reasons (ex. do not allow incoming connections, firewall rules, etc…). We now have the capability to get ESXi version information directly from the vCenter host REST API. Credential Configuration Considerations Customers will not see any changes to the VMware vCenter credential. However, customers will need to enable Auto-Discovery of ESXi hosts to take advantage of this feature. When the ESXi host is automatically added to the scan using Auto-Discovery of ESXi hosts, Tenable determines if the scanner can communicate with the host. If not, Tenable will allow the host to be scanned and therefore vulnerability detections will run, at the very least based on the ESXi version information collected.
