Integration Status Plugin Change in Reporting Summary Tenable is announcing a change in the reporting of the Integration Status plugin (ID: 204872). Prior to this change, the plugin would not produce any output unless it was enabled. After this change, the plugin will always run, regardless of its enablement, but still only produce output for specific integrations. Additionally, Tenable has ensured that this plugin will not be counted for asset licensing purposes. Impact Some customers may notice new “INFO” level plugin output from the Integration Status plugin. The plugin will not produce output unless a credential or integration (PAM, MDM, or Patch Management) is configured. Customers not using these integrations will not be affected. InTune MDM Integration Serial Number Handling Summary Tenable was recently made aware of a limitation in our InTune Mobile Device Management (MDM) integration. With certain InTune enrollment methods (for example, account driven user enrollment), devices may be enrolled without serial numbers. Until now, Nessus plugins assumed that all devices would have serial numbers, which led to incomplete results. We have released a change to address this specifically for our InTune integration. Moving forward, device ID numbers will be used in place of serial numbers, in cases when a serial number is not used. Serial numbers will remain the default way of identifying a device; however, the device ID will be used when no serial number is present. Additionally, for devices in InTune, the device’s name will now be available in the “MDM Mobile Device Reporting” plugin (60035). Please note: This change only applies to the InTune MDM integration.
