Enhanced IBM WebSphere Application Server Detection on Unix-based OSes

Nessus plugin 143265 identifies IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) on Unix-based platforms. Improvements have been made to this plugin for WAS installations by examining additional running processes and increased searching for WAS paths resulting in increased coverage.

Impact

Customers should expect improved detection of IBM WAS, potentially resulting in a significant increase in new vulnerability detections. This improvement may also result in slightly longer scan times and increased CPU utilization on the systems scanned.
